High School Golfer Rescues Opponent From Water Hazard
Two high-school golfers were playing each other in a tournament near Dallas two weeks ago. And one of them ended up saving the other’s life.
High-school senior Angel Lucio heard his opponent yelling for help and found him in a water hazard. It turned out his freshman opponent fell in trying to grab a ball and couldn’t swim. Angel pulled him out, and he’s okay.
Lucio said, “I didn’t think about it; I just jumped in.” The two were paired together during the tournament, and both felt fine to continue the game in their soaking wet clothes. Lucio was recognized by his high school and local police department.
