Stereotypes From Your Hometown
Do you do something that reminds you of where you are from?
- Laura: I say “ope” instead of “excuse me” — Like, I’ll literally bump into a mannequin at Dillards and go “ope! Sorry!” That’s my Indianapolis muscle memory.
- Tamara: I refuse to use an umbrella unless it’s a full-on monsoon — Straight up Seattle vibes. I will just throw a hood on and pretend I’m waterproof.
- Dave: I aggressively defend “real” pizza — If it’s not deep dish and takes 45 minutes to bake, don’t talk to me. That’s my Chicago showing.
- Hannah: I still say “pop” instead of soda — And I will side-eye you if you call it Coke when you’re holding a Sprite. Cleveland rules apply here.
- Susie: I apologize for everything, even when it’s not my fault — Like, you tripped over me? “Oh gosh, I’m so sorry!” That’s my peak Toledo girly-guilt showing.
- Mikey: I parallel park like I’m auditioning for Fast & Furious: Philly Drift. LOL That’s that East Coast street parking hustle, baby.
- Luke: I have very strong opinions about Wawa vs. Sheetz — Even though I don’t live on the East Coast anymore, I will fight you in a Rite Aid parking lot over this.
- Kate: I say “Jeet yet?” instead of “Did you eat yet?” — That’s my Chicago uncle-energy. It’s always food-related and slightly unintelligible.
