High School Baseball Team Helps Put Out House Fire Nearby
A high school baseball team in Arizona is getting praise after helping fight a fire nearby during a game.
Coach Rico Lorona said they heard a loud boom, like a transformer blew and saw a big ball of smoke. The other coach saw it too and they ran over to investigate when they found the fire was on a woman’s property. She was working from home and was wearing headphones so she had no idea. Thanks to their quick thinking, and the help of first responders, the fire was put out, and the house was saved.
Later the other homeowner came over to the game to thank the team for saving his house. The team is also being honored by the mayor.
