Brothers Find Message In A Bottle From 1976
A message was found tucked inside a Pepsi bottle….written in 1976. And the author of the note was found!
Clint Buffington and his brother Evan wondered where and when it came from. Turns out the letter was written by a ninth-grade student from a Massachusetts high school as part of a science experiment for an oceanography course. That student is now 63-year-old Peter Thompson, who tossed the Pepsi bottle with the note into the Merrimack River in May of 1976. The bottle floated roughly 1,200 miles to the Bahamas!
