Former “Ellen” Staffer Says Her Standup Special Is “A Lie”
A former producer for The Ellen DeGeneres Show says the essence of Ellen’s new comedy special, Ellen: For Your Approval, is “totally a lie”. DeGeneres jokes about getting “kicked out of show business” because “I was mean.” She says the staff on her show was “a family.” Hedda Muskat was a producer from the launch of the show and says it was always an atmosphere of fear.
Muskat first spoke out four years ago about the toxic workplace claims on the show, calling her former boss a “toxic, phony, hypocrite liar.” Muskat feels DeGeneres is still failing to take responsibility for her actions by making light of the scandal with jokes.
