Beyoncé’s Christmas Day NFL Halftime Show Lived Up To Hype

Beyoncé’s Christmas Day NFL halftime show, dubbed the “Beyonce Bowl,” took place during the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Houston Texans and went off without a hitch despite concerns about technical issues like last month’s live-streamed fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul and last year’s Love Is Blind season 4 reunion.

Queen Bey, dressed in a cowboy hat, rode into NRG Stadium in Houston on a white horse and sang “16 Carriages.”

She covered the Beatles’ “Blackbird,” with country vocalists Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, and Brittney Spencer. Then, Beyoncé performed “Ya Ya,” “My House,” “Spaghettii,” “Riiverdance,” “Sweet Honey Buckiin,” “Levii’s Jeans,” “Jolene,” and “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

The singer performed with Shaboozey, Post Malone, and her Grammy-winning daughter and Mufasa costar Blue Ivy Carter.

The former Destiny’s Child member mocked the streaming service’s technical issues the day before the concert. The Tuesday (December 24) X teaser shows her playing “Texas Hold ‘Em,” then the screen buffers and returns with a winking Beyoncé. Netflix responded jokingly to Beyoncé’s remark, adding, “Now hold on…”

According to Netflix, her performance will be available as a standalone special to rewatch soon!
