Liam Payne’s Friend, Waiter, 3 Others Charged In Connection To His Death

Five men have been charged in connection with the death of Liam Payne, with two facing the possibility of being remanded in custody.

The five people who were being investigated for Liam Payne’s death have been charged, and two have 24 hours to return to court or be remanded. Judge Laura Bruniard anticipated deciding whether to prosecute the suspects early in the New Year.

After calling them for interrogation just before Christmas, she had ten days to rule, but it emerged overnight that she had already made her judgment.

Waiter Braian Nahuel Paiz, 24, and 21-year-old Ezequiel David Pereyra, suspended from his work at the Buenos Aires hotel where Liam died on October 16, have been accused of providing him cocaine twice. They face a potential 15-year prison sentence for their crime.

The other three prosecuted locally are Liam’s businessman buddy Roger Nores, hotel chief receptionist Esteban Grassi, and security chief Gilda Martin.

The investigating judge charged all three individuals with manslaughter, according to respected Argentine news website Infobae. Instead of imprisoning them, she banned them from traveling and ordered them to forfeit £38,000 in Argentine pesos.
