Meta Offering Incentives To TikTok Creators
Meta is trying to be a “Knight in Shining Armor” for TikTok creators who might be still dealing with the 12-hour ban that might be affecting their ability to make revenue. Meta is offering a “Breakthrough Bonus” to TikTok creators for up to $5,000 for posting new videos on Facebook and Instagram Reels. They promise to provide content deals and free one-year subscriptions to Meta Verified to select creators.
Meta also introduced a new video editing app called Edits and expanded Reels video length to 3 minutes, in an effort to appeal to a wider range of creators. The ban on TikTok was pushed off for 90 days in an effort to find U.S. investors to buy half of the app.
