Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds Request Gag Order On Justin Baldoni’s Lawyer
Another day, another update in the ongoing lawsuit battle between “It Ends With Us” co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. To recap briefly, Lively filed the first lawsuit against Baldoni, his production company, producing partner and publicist claiming sexual harassment. The New York Times wrote an article detailing it with some text messages to support her claims.
Baldoni then launched a $250 million lawsuit with 9 other plaintiffs against the NYT claiming they created a narrative against him with slanted writing and only part of text exchanges (his agency dropped him as a result). So Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, has been on the media circuit laying out the receipts they have that refute those claims. Freedman also filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively and Reynolds for defamation.
Now, after Freedman released raw unedited filming footage from a scene mentioned in her lawsuit, Lively and Reynolds want to shut Freedman down from talking to the media or releasing any other evidence in the case.
As a legal expert pointed out, there are two battles going on: a legal fight and a battle in the court of public opinion.
Which side are you on?
