“The Goonies” Reunite To Support Ke Huy Quan
They world fell in love with Ke Huy Quan as “Data”, the quirky son of an inventor in the classic The Goonies, and many of his co-stars were there for his hand and foot ceremony.
His prints were immortalized at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. The film’s screenwriter, Chris Columbus, and stars Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen (“Chunk”), Kerri Green (“Andi”) and Josh Brolin (“Brand”) were all there to celebrate Quan. Brolin also shared a letter from director Steven Spielberg, saying in part, “I’m proud of you for your meteoric rise as a child, and then your second meteoric rise as a grown-up, and believe me, very few of us get two bites of that apple.”
Quan was 13 when he starred in The Goonies and called it “one of the greatest adventures of my life.”
