Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively’s Appearance At ‘SNL50″ May Backfire In Lawsuit Battle
When you are suing a co-star/director for sexual harassment, it might not be a great idea to go to a high-profile event and make a joke about it on national TV. Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, said “it surprised” him to see the power couple make a joke about such a serious allegation against his client. He went on to explain that if it was such a traumatic experience for his wife, it didn’t seem wise to make light of it with jokes.
Lively, Reynolds and Baldoni are embroiled in a war of lawsuits starting with Lively’s accusations of sexual harassment on the set of “It Ends With Us”, in which Baldoni co-starred and directed. Baldoni launched back with a $400 million suit for defamation at the couple and a $250 million lawsuit against the New York Times for running an article detailing all of Lively’s accusations without his side. The backlash has cost Baldoni his agent, podcast co-host and many job offers according to Freedman.
Freedman also launched a website detailing their lawsuit and all the receipts that they say contradict her accusations. What do you think?
