More Problems For “Fyre Festival 2”
Billy McFarland keeps insisting “Fyre Festival 2 is real,” and is going to be UHMAZING…but officials on the Mexican island of Isla Mujeres are singing a different tune. According to their tourism director: “We have no knowledge of this event, nor contact with any person or company about it,” “For us, this is an event that does not exist.”
That sounds like a possible road block though organizers for Fyre Fest 2 say they’ve “secured top-tier private venues and hotels in partnership with our local allies” and have “established communications with the corresponding authorities to ensure full compliance and flawless execution.” Welp, somebody apparently needs to reach out to the tourism office pronto. And then there’s the fact the festival has already changed dates, hasn’t announced any artists, and still follows all the bad juju of McFarland’s fraud conviction and jail time thanks to the first attempt at Fyre Fest.
