Controversy Surrounds Disney’s Live-Action “Snow White”
Rumors of a feud between leads, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot is just one of many controversies surrounding Disney’s live-action remake of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
According to an inside source: ‘Rachel and Gal kept everything very controlled at the ‘Snow White’ premiere at Disneyland on Saturday. They posed next to each other in photos and kept it friendly for that. There has definitely been tension between them and they are not close by any means.’ At the root of the rift are political differences involving the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and comments Zegler made disparaging the original movie as “outdated.” She also said the prince “stalked” Snow White.
Other controversies involve the casting of a Latina actress for the role of Snow White which goes against a major character detail in the classic, and the dwarves being CGI. Despite all of that, early reviews have been favorable. Remains to be seen if audiences show up a the theater!
