Selena Gomez And Benny Blanco Do Hot Ones Challenge As A Couple
Sean Evans from Hot Ones sat across from Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco during their press tour for their new album, I Said I Love You First.
Evans asked about what it was like working on a pop record with someone you have a deep relationship. Selena Gomez answered warmly,
I was able to tell him that I don’t think I would in another relationship because he was also, to me, like the conductor of this record. And I don’t know, I felt like I could tell him things that maybe I was feeling insecure about that I wouldn’t feel like I could open up to any other producer that way let alone like a partner.
When it comes to where their musical tastes collide (8:27), Selena says she plays Benny everything even if it annoys him. However if she’s alone, she’s like to get into emo. Benny mentions that he thinks that they intersect on their love for Patsy Cline and Ella Fitzgerald, but that Selena got him into Taylor Swift’s music after they started dating
Then the couple took turns asking questions to one another. At 14:16, Benny tells Selena that his favorite song of hers that they didn’t make together is “Good For You.”
At 14:52, we learn that Selena can’t even name Benny’s most underrated song. LOL! Instead, they switch questions and we learn that Selena think that of any wild animals Benny would be, he would be a monkey or koala.
They finish up by talking about whether or not couples should do the Hot Ones challenge together at 18:05. Selena starts off by saying yes, and then jokingly changes her answer to know when Benny notes that she couldn’t name any of his songs. Whoops!
