Djo Almost Lost His New Album In An Uber

Stranger Things actor Joe Keery, also known in the music world as Djo, almost lost his new album The Crux in an Uber in NYC.

He detailed the story during an interview with Deezer saying he took an Uber to grab some pizza when his parents were visiting in NYC and IMMEDIATELY realized after the Uber drove away he left the hard drive with his entire new album in the car. Tried to used his app on his phone to contact the driver but his phone was dead, so he took off running after the Uber!

“It’s situation where I’m running and then the car hits a red light and then I’m getting closer, I’m getting closer and then it drives away and hits another red light,” “I’m, like, panting and then it takes a turn and I go down and I finally make it. I’m like [Keery mimes knocking] on this guy’s window.” But it was the WRONG UBER. Now he’s freaking out and heads back to the hotel, plugs his phone in and reaches out to his driver. “[The hard drive] had fallen under the seat luckily and I paid him $100 and he said, ‘Okay I’ll take it over to you’ and he brought it back to me and luckily nobody had stolen it.”

DISASTER AVERTED! By the way, the album is getting rave reviews from fans and Rolling Stone who called it the “best music of his career,” calling him “anything but basic” — a reference to his song “Basic Being Basic.”
