Oscar Voters Now Have To Watch All Nominees Before Voting
Well this seems to make sense.
The Academy’s Board Of Governors has approved several new voting rules for the Oscars, including requiring voters to have seen all nominees first. Now, how they are going to police that and actually verify if the members have watched them is another issue. Maybe a quiz LOL??
Other changes include new rules for the Achievement in Casting category and the recognition of generative AI in film-making. The 100th Oscars will also introduce an Achievement in Stunt Design category in 2028.
