My Morning Jackets Gets a Hometown Hero Banner
A new Hometown Heroes banner is honoring Louisville band My Morning Jacket.
MMJ formed in 1998 and has been nominated for multiple Grammy awards and received the key to the city earlier this year. In the ceremony Thursday afternoon, the band was given its own Hometown Heroes banner at 937 Phillips Lane, on the north facing wall of the Kentucky Expo Center armory building.
