Americans Scrambling To Get Their Real ID
Some Americans are scrambling and waiting in long lines to get their Real IDs before this week’s deadline. Starting tomorrow (May 7th), if you don’t have a new state-issued Real ID or passport, you may have a problem traveling.
TSA says every air traveler 18 years and older must now have a Real ID or a passport to fly domestically. TSA security operations executive Steve Lorincz says no one will be turned away if you don’t have a Real ID come May 7, but be prepared for a longer screening time.
