Jenna Ortega On Bonding With Lady Gaga

Jenna Ortega’s been busy promoting the new Hurry Up Tomorrow movie with The Weeknd, but she’s got more coming up later this year with the second season of Wednesday on Netflix. Access Hollywood caught up with her on the red carpet to chat about the movie and ask about what it was like to work with another huge music star, Lady Gaga. It’s not clear what Gaga’s role is in the show yet, but Jenna had nothing but positive things about working with her on set. She explained that the two of them bonded over the hustle of the industry.

She has such an inspiring come-up story and she persevered through so many different things. And I look up to her really and I always have, so I think being able to talk to that — and she’s got this sweet nature about her where just kind of wants to give you advice and, you know, make you feel safe and warm.

So, as a young person who’s still navigating their career and what they wanna do and how they wanna be represented, to be able to hear from somebody who has always been bold and taken risks and gone against the norm was really, really meaningful to me.
