Judge Dismisses Justin Baldoni’s Lawsuit Against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Blake Lively’s team is calling this a total “victory and complete vindication” as a judge in New York has dismissed Justin Baldoni’s $400 million dollar countersuit.
The judge noted in his filing on June 9 that Baldoni’s legal team can still amend the claims for breach of implied covenant and tortious interference with contract if they choose to move forward, with a deadline of June 23. Lively first sued her It Ends With Us director-costar Baldoni plus others in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment and retaliation, which he has denied. The New York Times then ran a hit piece which tossed the first stone in the court of public opinion.
Lively most recently dropped her emotional distress claims from her complaint after Baldoni’s team asked for her medical records to back up those claims. Baldoni’s lawyers have yet to respond with their next move.
