Doctor Becomes Fourth Person To Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Death

Salvador Plasencia, the owner of an urgent care clinic in Malibu, California, has agreed to plead guilty for supplying “Friends” star Matthew Perry with over 20 vials of ketamine, which contributed to his fatal overdose.

He’ll be looking at a recommended sentence of 15 to 21 months for four counts of distributing ketamine. He is now the fourth person to plead guilty in connection to Perry’s accidental death in 2023. Federal prosecutors highlighted instances in their case against against him where he administered ketamine to Perry despite adverse effects.

The only defendant who has pleaded not guilty is Jasveen Sangha, known as the “Ketamine Queen.” Her trial is set to begin in August.
