Crew Members Of “It Ends With Us” Are Sharing Their Story With Podcasters

Blake Lively filed a motion in her lawsuit asking the court for a “protective order” to block Justin Baldoni from accessing her text messages with Taylor Swift as their nasty legal battle rages on. Baldoni lawyer Bryan Freedman is asking for tons of communications in preparing to depose Lively, set for June 23rd. There are 133 requests for communications from individuals and companies, involving people like the other cast members, Bradley Cooper and yes, Taylor Swift.

Then you have some cast members that are starting to come forward (anonymously) to share their experience on the set with podcasters covering the saga. They are sharing the REAL story that major outlets won’t touch out of fear of Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds’, power in Hollywood.

This particular insider said Lively and Baldoni never got along since day 1. According to this insider, Sony forced Baldoni to hire Lively because they wanted an older actress that what the book portrayed to appeal to a wider audience. And because Sony backed Lively, that set the scene for Lively to try to take over creative control despite Baldoni owning the rights and being the director. The straw that broke the camel’s back: when Baldoni refused to let Lively see the dailies. That’s when she decided to filed the sexual harassment claim in an attempt to paint Baldoni as a bad guy, and get creative control. Ultimately, she wanted to take over filming for a possible second movie based on Colleen Hoover’s follow up book, “It Starts With Us”.

Popcorned Planet has also talked to crew for a documentary they are making on the entire lawsuit battle, “It Ends With Justice”. The case is still set to go to trial in March 2026.
