“F1” Wins The Box Office On Its Opening Weekend
Brad Pitt and Damson Idris really drive in their new movie, F1, which pulled in $55.6 domestically in its first weekend in theaters. Directed by Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski, the plot follows Pitt as a retired Formula One driver who is convinced to return to the sport to coach a young rookie (Idris) and save a struggling team. And the races are INTENSE. It was produced by Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton and features the biggest names in F1 racing.
There’s a lot of pressure that comes with actually driving while filming, in the middle of real F1 races in front of real fans!
