Green Day has a tradition at their shows of bringing someone onstage, handing them a guitar, and letting them play along on “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)”. But it backfired on them Monday in Luxembourg…

If you can manage to make it through the day without getting the opportunity to play with Green Day and play a song from another band, getting yourself kicked off the stage, you’re doing OK!

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong brought a fan onstage, and he proceeded to play “Wonderwall” by Oasis. Maybe he was nervous, had a brain fart and got confused? Either way, Billy Joe wasn’t having it and immediately cut him off, saying, quote, “Oh, [eff]! Nice try, nice try.” Then he took the guitar and the fan was ushered off the stage.

Funny story, though . . . Oasis’ Liam Gallagher saw a video of the incident that someone posted on Twitter, and he replied, quote, “Best song of the night.”
