Many Young Campers Among The Death Toll From Texas Flooding
Numbers of lives lost continue to rise substantially on Sunday, with dozens of people killed after catastrophic flash floods swept through Central Texas. More rain causes problems for search and rescue efforts reaching a critical point in finding potential survivors, including several girls missing from a summer camp. Five girls were confirmed dead from Camp Mystic and 11 missing.
Some young campers from Camp La Junta survived and told local news of their experiences.
It was shocking how quickly the flood waters encompassed the area.
