Pete Davidson Returns To Hot Ones Five Years Later
Pete Davidson made his Hot Ones debut just before the Covid shutdown and now he’s back across the table from Sean Evans to catch up since leaving Saturday Night Live and going to make movies with fellow comedians.
Early in the interview, he reflected on his first-ever sketch on Saturday Night Live, at about 4:30 in the video, when Jim Carrey was hosting and he played his zombie son in a sketch where he was being beaten with a Nerf bat. According to Pete, “the sketch bombed to the high heavens.”
Around 11:31, Pete added later during the interview that Lorne Michaels of SNL once suggested to him that, “you should get new teeth.” He chatted about when Lorne took him to Nobu for sushi and Pete pretended not to know how to eat it so that Lorne would explain how it’s done. LOL!
Pete does know how to eat wings though. He just doesn’t prefer to eat them with Da’ Bomb hot sauce on them because it was about 17:06 when the tears started flowing like his first time on Hot Ones.
Later on, about 19: 54, Pete revealed the most “humiliating” chest tattoo he got was a piece of advice from Dave Chappelle when they met in person at a comedy club: “jokes come and go, but swag is forever.” He got that covered up with a giant Jaws tat after that.
Pete declared that his second go on Hot Ones was easier than his first, but he plans to make it a “trilogy” and will come back for another plate of the spicy wings and conversation.
His new movie ‘The Home” released on July 25 with Bill Murray and Jennifer Coolidge and his upcoming film “The Pickup” with Eddie Murphy and Keke Palmer comes out on Amazon Prime on August 6, 2025. Peep the trailer here:
