Kelly Clarkson’s Ex-Husband, Brandon Blackstock, Dies at 48 From Cancer
Just hours after news broke that Kelly Clarkson had to postpone the remaining August dates of her Studio Sessions Las Vegas residency due to a family illness, now comes more details. That family member who was ill was her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, who has now passed away at age 48 from cancer.
His rep confirmed the news saying he had been battling cancer for three years, and passed away “peacefully surrounded by family.” Clarkson had just shared on Instagram that her kids’ father had been ill and she needed “to be fully present for them.”
Clarkson and Blackstock were married for 10 years until divorcing in 2022.
