‘Scary Movie 6’ Is Happening
Anna Faris and Regina Hall are back on board as Cindy and Brenda for a sixth Scary Movie. The Wayans brothers, who created the original 2000 film, are coming back to write and produce the reboot.
Scary Movie was one of the highest-grossing R-rated horror comedies of all time, opening to a record-breaking $42.5 million. The first two films were written and directed by the Wayans brothers, but the other movies struggled without their involvement under Miramax. The new boss at Miramax, Jonathan Glickman,. knew the secret sauce was getting the band back together and that means the Wayans brothers. Look for it in theaters June 12, 2026.
