You won’t see Morgan Wallen on the Grammys stage next year accepting any award…because he doesn’t want it. Wallen is not submitting any of his work for Grammy consideration after consistently being ignored in the past. Mariah Carey is another that feels Grammy awards are “overrated.”
The Weeknd was mad “Blinding Lights” was shut out in 2021 from any nominations, but now he’s forgiven the Recording Academy. Jay-Z was upset his wife, Beyonce, had never won Album of the Year despite having the most individual Grammy awards (that changed with “Cowboy Carter”).
