Hilary Duff Making a Musical Comeback
Hilary Duff is working on new music after a decade-long hiatus, signing a new deal with Atlantic Records that was announced on Tuesday (September 9). “Wake up… @hilaryduff is officially a part of the AMG family ,” Atlantic revealed on Instagram. “We could not be more excited for this journey & for new music… or something .”
Duff also shared her own post, featuring photos of her in the recording studio alongside the similar caption, “new music … or something .”
She had hits back in the day like “Come Clean” and “Wake Up,” and last released an album in 2015. She had two Billboard No. 1 records – 2003’s Metamorphosis and the 2005 compilation Most Wanted – five Top 10 albums, and nearly 8 million total albums sold in the U.S. She then pivoted to focus on acting ever since.
The process of her return to music will be chronicled in a docuseries directed by Sam Wrench.
