The Next “Bachelorette” Is NOT From Bachelor Nation
Breaking from the usual formula of choosing a runner-up from the previous season of ‘The Bachelor’, the season 22 lead of ‘The Bachelorette’ is a newcomer to that world. Her identity was revealed on the ‘Call Her Daddy’ podcast as a reality TV star joining Bachelor Nation for the first time. It’s 31-year-old mom of three, Taylor Frankie Paul, from Secret Lives of Mormon Wives after first starting as an influencer in the #MomTok community.
She joking sent this idea out on TikTok three years ago: “I don’t know if that got their attention … It was mainly a joke to me … Then we had a meeting. I still didn’t believe it until i got the invitation, ‘Will you be our Bachelorette?’ Same reaction, shaking, pacing back and forth. There’s no way, no way.”
She admits this could be tricky: “How do I make this work? I’m a co-parent I have two baby daddies not one, so I’m dealing with two different people, my children, my home base is here. Can I travel that long? Can I be gone that long?” To catch you up on her background, she revealed that she and her husband, Tate Paul, were getting a divorce in June 2022, setting off a soft-swinging scandal that rocked the community.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives follows Paul navigating the end of her marriage, leading her to expose that “soft-swinging” scandal. The show also featured her new relationship with boyfriend Dakota Mortensen, whom she has since split from.
She shares two children, Indy and Ocean, with Paul, and a son, Ever, with Mortensen.
