Chimpanzee Researcher, Jane Goodall, Passes at 91
Jane Goodall, the world’s leading chimpanzee researcher and subject of over 40 documentaries, died Wednesday in California at age 91. She was famous for living with chimpanzees in Tanzania to study their behavior. She discovered chimpanzees fashioned tools to use, which is something previously thought to be a characteristic of only humans.
She was working until the end of her life, doing podcasts and appearances. In fact, an auditorium of people were waiting for her to make an appearance in Pasadena meant to be a celebration of planting new trees. That turned into a celebration of her legacy once the crowd heard she had passed away.
