He went for 18 months with no offers until one for $14.5 million came along, but it was another romantic action comedy. He said no and he started considering other careers including teacher or “wildlife guy”. Two months later came the roles he had been waiting for: “Killer Joe”, “Mud”, “True Detectives”, “Magic Mike”.
