Hillcrest Residents Collecting Canned Food For Charity
Halloween on Hillcrest Avenue is a tradition for so many year after year, and it’s gotten so popular…they are looking to help out those in need. They are asking for visitors this year to bring canned food and non-perishable food donations for United Crescent Hill Ministries. They are also restricting visitors to getting a free ticket from LMPD, and visit from 5-9pm.
In the lead-up to the big day, several events are happening around the area according to WAVE3:
- Trunk or Treat at DeSales High School: Oct. 28, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
- Halloween at Sam Peden Community Park: Oct. 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Halloween Party at the Newburg Community Center: Oct. 29, 5-7 p.m.
In addition to those, there are also events happening on Halloween night:
- Halloween Party at the Wilderness Road Senior Center: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- Haunted Hallway at Southwick Community Center: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
- Halloween Hangout at Baxer: 1125 West Liberty, 5-7 p.m.
- Youth and Teens Halloween Party at the California Community Center: 5:30-7:30 p.m.
