Church Community Steps Up To Feed First Responders
Local churches are stepping up working long hours delivering meals, snacks, and supplies to crews still responding to the crash site near Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Volunteers say it’s about “feeding those who are protecting us.”
Volunteers from Parkland Baptist Church mobilized and started serving spaghetti and meatballs in about 4 hours from the first call, with help from the Salvation Army.
The crash of UPS flight 2976 has claimed the lives of 12 so far with the investigation underway.
National news outlets are talking to employees of businesses in that area about what they experienced.
The black boxes have been recovered as local officials got a first look at the crash site.
There has been an outpouring of love and support from the community for the families, workers, and businesses affected. And support also for the first responders and volunteers working tirelessly.
Donations to the victim relief fund will go directly to those affected by the crash and will help pay for funerals for the lives lost.
