“Wicked: For Good” Wins Big At the Box Office
Wicked: For Good claimed the top box office position, earning $150 million domestically during its opening weekend. The musical adaptation established a new benchmark for Broadway-to-film projects, surpassing 2024’s Wicked which previously recorded $112.5 million in the same pre-Thanksgiving period.
It’s also the year’s second-largest debut, trailing only A Minecraft Movie at $162 million and the Lilo & Stitch remake at $146 million. Sweet side story was the excitement of the young actress, Scarlett Spears, playing young Glinda getting praise from Ariana Grande!
