Eric Danes’ Emotional Role As Firefighter With ALS
It was art imitating life for Eric Dane, who went public with his own battle with ALS. Dane guest starred in the Thanksgiving episode of “Brilliant Minds” on NBC playing a firefighter coming to terms with leaning on his family and friends through his battle with ALS. And he got a 10 minute standing ovation from the crew when filming was completed.
Dane shot the episode in October just weeks after missing the Emmy awards due to fall requiring stitches in his forehead. They actually used that in a scene in the episode.
