‘Stranger Things 5″ Breaks Netflix Streaming Record

Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 5 shattered streaming records by drawing 59.6 million views during its first five days. The debut marks the highest premiere-week viewership for any English-language Netflix series and ranks third overall behind only Squid Game seasons 2 and 3.

Season 5’s performance represents a 171% increase from Season 4’s 2022 premiere, which garnered 287 million hours watched or roughly 22 million views over three days. Sidebar, maybe an Easter Egg you missed but there was a real phone number on a missing kid picture showing Jane “Eleven” Hopper and that number WORKS.

You will get a recording from the police department of the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana…genius marketing! The rest of the season rolls out in two more installments: episodes 5-7 drop on Christmas Day while the series wraps up New Year’s Eve!
