Jelly Roll Is Officially Pardoned For Past Crimes
Jelly Roll’s record is wiped clean after received a pardon from Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee for the more than 40 various crimes he committed as a teenager and a young adult over 20 years ago.
Jelly served one year in prison and seven months probation for his most serious charge. Post-release in 2008, he went on to be nominated for multiple Grammy awards and was recently asked to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He has also visited many prisons to perform and give his testimony to how he turned his life around.
