Sombr Apologizes For Shredding Fan Mail

Sombr was answering “Fan Mail” with Capital FM. He reveals that he would love to write a song for the HBO show “Euphoria” if given the opportunity, but when it comes to being compared to actor Finn Wolfhard from the show “Stranger Things,” he’s over it. He’s not over Sabrina Carpenter though — he looks forward to working with her someday.

One fan congratulated Sombr on his GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist and asked what his dream award would be. His answer:

To be honest, I don’t do this for awards. While it’s a good confidence boost and it means a lot to be put in the same category, it’s like — I feel like it’s an unhealthy standard to set to expect an award, so I try not to expect anything. If it happens, it happens. Great. I’m grateful. But I just do music for the love of it, so…

Oh, I did win a VMA, though. VMA. Best Alternative. So that was pretty cool.

He shredded quite a bit of the fan mail and admitted he got a little shredder-happy, but apologized at the end of the interview and told fans that he loved them.
