Duffer Brothers Plan “Stranger Things” Spinoff That Will Tie Up “Loose Threads”
Matt and Ross Duffer promise more of the “Stranger Things” world with a spinoff that they promise to tie up “loose threads” in the plot of the series finale. But before you get too excited about seeing the characters you have watched for 10 years, they are looking at a “clean slate”.
Matt Duffer says he does want audiences to better understand how Henry Creel got his powers from the glowing rock from the scientist’s briefcase, saying “I do want to explain, just because people’s expectations go in certain directions: The spin-off is going to delve into that and explain that, and you’re going to understand it.”
But the new series will have “completely new characters, a new town, a new world, a new mythology.” There are more projects in the works, though they won’t all be necessarily connected to each other in a cinematic universe.
