Nick Reiner’s Lawyer Steps Down But Professes Reiner Is “Not Guilty” Of Murder
It’s a twist worthy of a dramatic movie scene. Nick Reiner’s attorney, Alan Jackson, is stepping down from defending the 32-year-old in the murder trial of his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, whom authorities claim he killed in December.
Jackson held a press conference saying he is “legally and ethically prohibited from saying why” he is asking to be relieved as counsel for “circumstances outside of Nick’s control.” Jackson did say to the press Nick is “not guilty of murder.”
Nick appeared in court and only spoke to acknowledge he was OK with the his arraignment being postponed to Feb. 23. “Entertainment Tonight” spoke to a former FBI agent who was on the crime scene before police, and speculated it may be due to money.
