Dolly Parton Gets Her Own Day For Her 80th Birthday
Tennessee has proclaimed January 19th, as Dolly Parton Day in honor of the singer’s decades of music, philanthropy, and cultural influence.
Governor Bill Lee highlighted her generosity and impact, especially through the Dollywood Foundation and Imagination Library, with the tribute timed to coincide with Parton’s 80th birthday. Dolly had to miss the celebration this weekend at the Grand Ole Opry but sent a video.
