Winter Storm To Affect Some 200 Million Americans
A dangerous winter storm is on the way for the U.S. and is expected to impact over 40 states, spanning more than 2,000 miles.
Locally, the Louisville area could see between 8 and 12 inches of snow through the weekend with southern Indiana getting as much as 15 inches.
Areas south including Etown and Bardstown could see around a half inch of ice to look out for. On top of that will be the dangerously cold temperatures. There is a Winter Storm Warning in effect through Sunday at 7pm.
In prepping for the storm, experts suggest you create a 3-day emergency kit, securing1 home insulation, and stocking non-perishable food, water, and flashlights. Ensure you have, medication, pet supplies, blankets, and a battery-powered radio. Keep mobile devices charged, fuel up vehicles, and clear gutters.
