Britney Spears Says She’s “Lucky To Be Alive” Amid Family Drama
Britney Spears is getting candid on Instagram with a post explaining how difficult her family drama and estrangement has been on her. Her troubles have been widely documented from her public meltdowns, 13-year conservatorship, feud with her sister and family, as well as her ex-husband and sons.
In a Feb. 4 Instagram post, she reflected on loneliness and forgiveness. In the caption, Britney wrote “We can forgive as people but u don’t ever forget. I’m incredibly lucky to even be alive with how my family treated me once in my life and now I’m scared of them. It’s weird how God works in mysterious ways. Because to be totally honest with you, no matter what he says, they will never take responsibility for what they did.”
It’s been more than four years since her conservatorship ended, which had her father in charge of her life. Her father said at the time he is “not responding to all the false, speculative, and unsubstantiated attacks on him by certain members of the public, media, or more recently, Britney’s own attorney.”
Of course, she’s also continuing to post her racy dance videos, too, and had comments turned off.
