3 Doors Down Frontman Brad Arnold Loses Battle With Cancer
3 Doors Down founding member, songwriter and frontman Brad Arnold lost his battle with cancer at the age of 47 on February 7th. Arnold passed away in his sleep surrounded by family and loved ones. He went public with his diagnosis with optimism and hope 9 months ago with fans. He took on their song, “It’s Not My Time”, as his anthem.
His health battle forced the band to cancel their 2025 summer tour. His band shared the news of his passing on social media.
In the post, the band shared Arnold wrote their biggest hit, “Kryptonite”, in math class at age 15.
The post went on to say “his music reverberated far beyond the stage, creating moments of connection, joy, faith and shared experiences that will live on long after the stages he performed on.”
