Well dang it. The “Drake Curse” strikes again.
Drake had $1 million fly out of his bank account pretty quickly after betting on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. He was pretty confident with that choice posting on social media Saturday, “Bet against me if you dare.”
The Seattle Seahawks dashed his dreams which would have paid out more than $2.9 million. The loss was recorded on TheDrakeCurse.com, which tracks his betting history. The site claims Drake has wagered $46.9 million across a series of 84 bets, winning 30 and losing 54.
In NFL betting specifically, he has placed 20 bets and profited over $680,000 despite losing a total of 14 wagers. Does Drake know about the “Drake Curse”? Yes…Drake addressed it last year saying “I feel like I don’t play sports” and “for whatever reason, my slips do not cash out.”
Longtime Boston sports fan Mark Wahlberg was rooting for him commenting “SMART MAN” on the Instagram post.
