Team USA’s Lindsey Vonn Says She Has “No Regrets” After Her Crash in Competition
Lindsey Vonn set the record straight on social media one day after her crash at the 2026 Olympics, after she suffered a complex tibia fracture that will require multiple surgeries. Vonn had torn her ACL week before the Milano Cortina Winter Games, but says on says Instagram Feb. 9 that “had nothing to do” with her crash.
Regardless, she said she has no regrets going through with competing, adding, “I hope if you take away anything from my journey it’s that you all have the courage to dare greatly. Life is too short not to take chances on yourself. Because the only failure in life is not trying.”
She was the first American woman to win gold in downhill skiing in 2010, and was attempted to be the oldest to get gold at 41. Her teammate Breezy Johnson was able to get that gold for Team USA.
