Suspect Detained And Released In Nancy Guthrie Abduction
The FBI released six surveillance photos and two videos showing a potential suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie.
The images show an armed individual in a jacket, ski mask and gloves tampering with surveillance cameras at Guthrie’s Tucson home. FBI Director Kash Patel said the footage was recovered from “residual data located in backend systems” after initially being thought lost forever. Nancy Guthrie disappeared February 1st and was last seen January 31st. A man identifying himself only as “Carlos” said he was that person detained and that authorities searched his car and a van before releasing him.
TMZ’s Harvey Levin told Fox News they received another letter demanding cryptocurrency to ensure the safety of Nancy Guthrie. Levin says the note has been handed over to the FBI.
