Apple To Add Video To Podcasts This Spring
If you like watching podcasts in addition to listening, Apple Podcasts will make that possible this spring.
Users can switch between watching and listening within the app, download videos for offline viewing, and access horizontal full-screen display. This is something that has already been happening on YouTube, the leading video podcast platform, plus Netflix and Spotify who have expanded video offerings.
Launch partners include Omny Studio, SiriusXM, AdsWizz, and Simplecast, enabling creators to insert dynamic video ads and host-read segments. The feature will be available on iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro, and web versions. Apple first added podcasts to iTunes 20 years ago.
